Consumer reasons for not using mobile for contactless payments in store UK 2019
Contactless payments made via mobile phones are not particularly popular for UK consumers. The findings of a 2019 consumer survey revealed that the main reason why consumers did not go for mobile while making contactless payment in-store was the lack of ease of use, with 44 percent of respondents citing this. Another big factor was a security issue. 43 percent of those surveyed said they did not trust contactless via mobile as a payment method.
