Extended Stay America is a hotel chain based in the United States and Canada specializing in apartment hotels. The company reported year-over-year growth in occupancy rates in North America from 2015 to 2019. The occupancy rate reached 76.7 percent in 2019, an increase of 0.8 percent over the previous year. However, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, occupancy rate declined in 2020 to 73.1 percent.
