Global COVID-19 humanitarian response plan coverage MENA 2020, by country
In 2020, the coverage for the global humanitarian response plan after the COVID-19 pandemic in conflict and risk countries in the Arab region was the highest for Palestinian territories at about 80 percent, and the lowest for Yemen at 20 percent. Although the COVID-19 cases in the region were low by international standards, the conflict and humanitarian crises which left more than 57 million people in need of humanitarian assistance even prior to the pandemic made them vulnerable to a greater threat.
