Export volume of tobacco in East Africa 2010-2020
Tobacco exports from East Africa exceeded 450 thousand metric tons in 2020, which was a relatively lower amount compared to the previous years. The highest amount of unprocessed tobacco exported from East Africa within this timespan was traced back to 2016, at roughly 530 thousand metric tons. This represented over 1,000 metric tons more than in 2010 when the total exports were less than 425 thousand metric tons.
