As of 2019, China's export value of media and recreation to (OIC) countries amounted to 5.2 billion U.S. dollars. This was followed by the Thailand with two billion U.S. dollars. The largest importing market for halal media and recreation was Turkey, valued at almost 26 billion U.S. dollars during this time period.
