Share of children who received child support grant in South Africa 2014-2018
As of 2018, 68.2 percent of children between the ages 0-17 received child support grant in South Africa. On the other hand, the share that did not receive the grant, although was eligible, was minimal at 1.8 percent. The child support grant intends to help parents in the lower-income brackets with expenditures related to their child's basic needs.
