The value of imported non-alcoholic beverages in Central America grew from 38.8 million U.S. dollars in January 2020 to 47.7 million U.S. dollars in September 2021, with some fluctuations in between.
May 2020 recorded the lowest value with 30.1 million U.S. dollars, coinciding with the period when the COVID-19 crisis established its global status. Fourteen months later, in August 2021, the value of imported soft drinks reached its highest point (53 million U.S. dollars).
