Media consumption during Ramadan Africa 2022
In 2022, a survey conducted in a number of selected African countries regarding media consumption during Ramadan found that 74 percent of participants would be using their mobile devices more when asked about their way of spending time. This made up the highest share of media consumption. This was followed by social media, usage of messaging applications, and watching television. Furthermore, though digital media consumption would increase, traditional forms of media are still playing a significant role. Particularly TV: with religious programs playing throughout the day and shows at night following the iftar.
