EU: coal imports from Russia monthly 2023

In April 2023, the European Union (EU) imported 7.4 thousand metric tons of coal from Russia, up from 4.1 million metric tons imported in the previous month. During the period under consideration, coal imports peaked at over 5.1 million metric tons in May 2022. Russia is one of the most important sources for coal imports to Europe.
