In 2021, power cables and wires generated a revenue of 19.4 billion U.S. dollars in Europe, accounting for roughly one-third of electricity transmission and distribution revenue in the region. This figure is forecast to reach 29 billion dollars by 2030. Meanwhile, despite registering one of the lowest revenue, switchgears are expected to record the largest compound annual growth rate (CAGR), at 6.6 percent from 2022 to 2030.
