Freedom of expression score in the Republic of the Congo 2000-2023
In 2023, the Republic of the Congo scored 13 points in the Global Expression Report (GxR). This was two points higher compared to the previous year. Over the period observed, the score remained relatively stable, peaking in 2000, between 2002 and 2011, and in 2020 and 2021 at 13 points. On the other hand, 2019 registered the lowest score at nine points. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
