This statistic presents the results of a phone survey conducted by Gallup among American adults who were 18 years and older in November 2013. Survey respondents were asked how they would vote on a law that would raise the federal minimum wage in the United States from 7.25 U.S. dollars an hour to 9 U.S. dollars an hour with automatic increased tied to inflation. Some 69 percent of respondents said they would vote for such a proposal.
