Finland: mobile app usage 2014-2016

This statistic shows the results of a survey on mobile app usage in Finland in 2014 and 2016. Applications in all surveyed categories except travel were more common in 2016 than in 2014. In 2016, instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp were the most common type of apps to have downloaded to a mobile device. The share of individuals having customer loyalty cards on their smartphone and/or tablet more than doubled, while the share of smartphone and tablet owners with banking apps also increased notably over the period of 2014 to 2016.
