Health spending in Venezuela as share of GDP 2010-2021
Venezuela's health care expenditure represented four percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021. Overall, this figure showed a decreasing trend during the period analyzed, going from an equivalent of seven percent of the country's GDP at the beginning of the decade to four percent. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending was equivalent to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
