The World Bank is one of the largest international financial assistance providers in the world. There are only two branches of the world bank: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). As of 2021 the IBRD had the larger share of development assistance among the two branches. At that time the IBRD had approximately 5.2 billion U.S. dollars in development assistance.
