Revenue share of postal services worldwide by product 2007-2020
Parcels and logistics is increasing in importance for the revenue of postal service providers worldwide, accounting for 30.2 percent of the total global revenue in 2020. This compares to only 15 percent in 2007. Technology is most likely the driving force behind this change, decreasing the share of letter-post due to the popularity of email and at the same time raising package volumes due to the growth of e-commerce.
