A survey conducted in the United States in 2018 regarding belief in popular conspiracy theories indicated that 44 percent of Trump voters thought that Muslim immigration was part of a wider plan to create a Muslim majority population in the United States. Trump voters were far more likely to believe in almost all of the conspiracy theories in this survey, although the same percentage of Clinton voters (three percent) thought that the Holocaust has been exaggerated.
