Social media news consumption in the United Kingdom 2018, by leave and remain voters

The Brexit referendum of 2016 was heavily influenced by the use of social media to share news and viewpoints. Among both leave and remain voters, Facebook was the most popular platform for consuming news with 74 percent of leave voters and 66 percent of remain voters advising that they used the site for this purpose.
