In a survey conducted in Australia in 2020, regarding businesses that anticipated adverse impacts due to the coronavirus, 82 percent of the manufacturing businesses stated that they expected a reduced demand for goods and services to have an adverse impact on their business. Comparatively, 65 percent of the manufacturing businesses stated that they expected the uncertain financial market to have an adverse impact on their business. In contrast, nine percent of the manufacturing businesses stated that they expected staff shortages to have an adverse effect on their business.
