Share of young consumers who shop with friends on Pinduoduo in China 2019, by gender
In 2019, about 95.9 percent of the male social e-commerce platform Pinduoduo users who were born in the 2000s bought items their friends shared with them, while the same proportion of female users invited their friends to join the group buying for a better price. Pinduoduo is the second biggest e-commerce platform in China based on user number, next to Alibaba.
