In 2018, the estimated levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for solar photovoltaic power in Latin America ranged from 0.07 to 0.13 U.S. dollars per kilowatt hour. Chile reported the lowest estimated cost in the region, while Brazil and Ecuador displayed some of the highest. Overall, the average installed cost for solar PV worldwide has decreased almost exponentially in the past decade.
