Export value of tobacco in East Africa 2010-2020
In 2020, roughly 1.7 billion U.S. dollars were gained from unmanufactured tobacco exports in East Africa. Measured against the previous years, this figure was slightly less than average yearly exports. In 2016, East African countries exported unmanufactured tobacco worth more than 2.2 billion U.S. dollars, which was the highest value reported within the period.
