Main agricultural exports from East Africa 2020, by export value
Coffee (not roasted) and tobacco had the highest export value among agricultural exports from East Africa in 2020. Both items recorded an export value of roughly 1.7 billion U.S. dollars each. From a country perspective, Zimbabwe was the largest exporter of tobacco in the region. Tea followed as a relevant agricultural export in East Africa, with an export value of around 1.5 billion U.S. dollars.
