Growth rate of non-alcoholic beverages import in Central America 2013-2021
Between 2013 and 2021, the growth rate of the imports value of non-alcoholic beverages in the Central American market has fluctuated. Between 2013 and 2018, the region saw its largest decrease, going from over 15 percent in 2013 to -2.9 percent in 2018. The year 2020 recorded the most significant decline with a growth rate of -2.97 percent, presumably caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the region has been able to recuperate and reach an all-time high of 31.04 percent, surpassing the 400 million U.S. dollars mark in 2021 with Guatemala as the largest buyer in the Central American market.
