Children requiring antiretroviral therapy in Latin America 2021, by country
In 2021, an estimated 5.7 thousand children in Haiti needed antiretroviral therapy for HIV treatment, the highest number of children requiring this type of therapy among selected countries in Latin American and Caribbean countries. That year, more than four thousand children living with the virus in Venezuela and over three thousand minors under 16 years of age in Mexico required antiretroviral medicine to treat the disease.
