Consumer attitudes towards open banking in Egypt 2022
In 2022, Egyptian consumers turned to open banking for its benefits, such as speed and convenience. Consequently, the share of people that used open banking to pay their bills and do their banking stood at 71 percent, while 61 percent considered that they felt safe using apps to send money from their phones. Moreover, a share of 42 percent were wiling to share financial data information with apps in order to access payment tools.
