This statistic shows a projected distribution of older people (aged 65 and over) in the United States population with Alzheimer’s in 2010 and 2050, by stage of disease. The projections are based on the current trajectory. It is estimated that 23 percent of people aged 65 and over in the United States population with Alzheimer’s in 2050 will have a mild case of this disease.
