Cruise ship calls in Mexico 2013-2022
From 2013 to 2019, the number of cruise ship calls in Mexico increased steadily. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic put a halt to that trend, reducing by roughly 70 percent the inbound cruise tourism in the Latin American country. In the years prior to the global health crisis, more than two thousand cruise ships arrived at Mexican ports each year. In 2022, there were nearly 2.7 thousand cruise ship calls, indicating a return to pre-pandemic levels.
