Measures needed for a more sustainable e-commerce in Germany 2021
According to a 2021 survey, seven out of ten German consumers wanted online retailers to reduce packaging waste for greater sustainability. In addition, half of the respondents believe that product descriptions should be more informative. That would enable shoppers to make more accurate purchases, contributing to a reduction in returns. Another 43 percent of consumers suggested improved communication with customers regarding delivery and returns.
