Gravel, sand and stone coastwise transportation distance in Japan in FY 2011-2021
In the fiscal year 2021, the payload distance of gravel, sand and stone transported via cargo ships in Japan amounted to around 5.15 billion ton-kilometers. That year, cargo ships were the transportation mode with the largest freight distance in the country after motor vehicles.
