Contraceptive use among women in Nigeria 2018, by marital status
As of 2018, about 37 percent of unmarried women in Nigeria used contraception. Specifically, some 28 percent of women used modern methods, which include pills, condoms, implants, and others. On the other hand, the share of married women who used contraception was considerably lower. However, contraceptive use among married women experienced an increase between 2017 and 2018.
