According to a survey of hotel operators in Melbourne, Australia in April 2020, the actual hotel room occupancy rate was forecast to be only 23 percent for Q3 2020. After social distancing measures were put in place in March 2020, travel industry performance and hotel occupancy performance decreased significantly.
