Players with the most tackles made at the Rugby World Cup 1987-2019
In the history of the nine Rugby World Cup tournaments that took place between 1987 and 2019, former New Zealand skipper Richie McCaw was the player with the most tackles made, with 226. In second place was Wales lock Alun Wyn Jones with 210 tackles. Both McCaw and Jones also made the list of most appearances in the Rugby World Cup, coming in first and third, respectively.
