This statistic displays the rates of myocardial infarction in men before and after testosterone therapy by age group as of 2014. For those over 65 years, rate ratio for post- to pre-testosterone therapy was 1.17. Testosterone therapy has been used to diminish the affects of aging in men. There has been some studies done on the possibility that testosterone therapy may increase the risk of myocardial infarction, or heart attacks.

All values are based on data from 2006 to 2010, including patient-specific enrollment history, year of birth, gender, inpatient and outpatient diagnoses (ICD-9 codes) and treatments, and outpatient prescriptions.
