Data on the number of hate crimes in Wales from 2019 to 2020, sorted by motivational factor, shows that in 2019/20, the highest number of hate crimes amounted to approximately 2.7 thousand cases and occurred due to racial discrimination. This was followed by hate crimes of religious motivation. The fewest hate crime recorded cases were found in the involvement of one's transgender lifestyle.
