ExxonMobil's quarterly net loss 2021
The Exxon Mobil Corporation has reported a net income of some 9.1 billion U.S. dollars for the fourth quarter of 2021. That year, figures continuously increase, indicating a recover from the oil crisis in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020, the Texas-based oil supermajor reported a historic net loss as a result of lower transportation fuel demand and a dramatic fall in oil prices. Similar to ExxonMobil, its competitor Chevron finished 2020 with a net loss of 665 million U.S. dollars.
