Health spending in Paraguay as share of GDP 2010-2021
Paraguay's spending on health represented around eight percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021, the highest figure recorded during the analyzed decade. Compared to 2010, health care expenditure relative to GDP increased by three percentage points in the South American country. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
