Indonesian streaming industry
The growing demand for streaming content in Indonesia is expected to continue as more people adopt this digital behavior. In 2022, the adoption rate for video and music-on-demand was around 60 percent each. The increasing use of video streaming has been made possible by the country's continuously improving internet infrastructure. For instance, the rollout of 5G mobile technology has enabled users to stream their favorite videos faster on their smartphones. Indonesian mobile video consumers expressed that they were highly satisfied with the video viewing experience using the 5G network, giving an experience score of just below seventy out of 100.The music streaming industry in Indonesia has also been performing well in recent years. The number of its users has shown an upward trend and is expected to continue growing. In 2022, Indonesia’s music streaming industry reported revenue of approximately 124 million U.S. dollars, which indicated an increase from the previous year. A recent study found that Indonesians spent around one hour and forty minutes per day listening to music via streaming services.
