Fake news: Who should stop it spreading? EU countries 2018
In 2018, an EU-wide survey looked into opinions on who should be responsible for stopping the spreading of fake news. The most popular answer was journalists with 45 percent across the 28 European Union countries. However, in some countries this figure was even higher; 56 percent in France, for example. The second most popular choice was national authorities, and the third was the press and broadcasting management.
