Mental ill health affecting the work of doctors in the UK in 2019, by hours worked
In 2019, a survey in the United Kingdom found out that there is a correlation between the amount of hours a doctor works in a typical week, and the prevalence of ill mental health. According to the results, almost 46 percent of doctors who worked more than 51 hours per work reported to be suffering from depression, anxiety, burnout or stress which was affecting their work.
