Global COVID-19 humanitarian response plan funding MENA 2020, by country
In 2020, the funding for the global humanitarian response plan after the COVID-19 pandemic in conflict and risk countries in the Arab region was the highest for Syria at about 107.4 million U.S. dollars, and the lowest for Libya at 26.8 million U.S. dollars. Although the COVID-19 cases in the region were low by international standards, the conflict and humanitarian crises which left more than 57 million people in need of humanitarian assistance even prior to the pandemic made them vulnerable to a greater threat.
