Births attended by skilled health personnel in the world 2014-2019, by region
From 2014 to 2019, roughly 80 percent of births around the world were attended by skilled health personnel such as doctors, nurses, or midwives. The access to skilled professionals when giving birth was nearly always available in more developed regions. However, only 61 percent of births were attend by skilled health personnel in the least developed countries.
