African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights' decisions 2019-2020, by concern
The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR or African Commission) is one of the main human right bodies on the African continent and operates within the institutional framework of the African Union. Between July 2019 and June 2020, the African Commission took 29 decisions in human rights' trials. The most frequent concern was the violation of the right to have a fair trial, with nine decisions. The right to a fair trial is protected by the seventh article of the African Charter.
