Expected order activity at shipyards worldwide by ship type 2021-2022
In 2021, over half of surveyed shipyards expected container ship orders to increase up to the end of 2022, while 10 percent of respondents believed orders for new container ships would drop. Some 29 percent of respondents expected orders for both bulk carriers and tankers to increase by the end of 2022.
