Usage of drinking water sources in Rwanda 2019
In Rwanda, about 60 percent of the population used at least basic drinking water services as of 2019. This means that six out of 10 Rwandans used an improved drinking water source, where collection time is not more than 30 minutes for a round trip, including queuing. Furthermore, around 70 percent of the people in Rwanda used improved drinking water sources available when needed, which means they had access to improved drinking water sources free of fecal and priority chemical contamination when needed.
