Podcast platform usage in Germany 2021, by age

According to a study from 2021 on podcast consumption in Germany, Spotify was the most popular platform for listening to podcasts among the younger age groups, while the older age groups preferred YouTube. In the age group of 18 to 24 years 68 percent of podcast listeners used Spotify, while only 15 percent of 55 year-olds and older used the platform.
