Supermarkets were the preferred shopping channels for confectioneries as revealed in a survey conducted in Japan in September 2022. While almost 86 percent of respondents stated that they visited supermarkets to buy sugar confectioneries and savory snack foods, less than one percent ordered via non-electronic mail-order retailer.
