Amount of stays with friends or family South Korea 2022, by month
According to a survey conducted in South Korea throughout 2022, September was the month with the most overnight stays with friends or family that year, at around 11.3 million. One of Korea's most important holidays, "Chuseok", a major autumn harvest festival, fell in early September that year. An important aspect of this celebration is returning to one's hometown, which leads to a rise in domestic travel around the time of "Chuseok".
