Consumers' likeliness of buying & eating sustainable food in EU countries 2021-2023

When surveyed in 2023, some 59 percent of survey respondents in selected European Union countries* stated that they are likely to buy and eat sustainable food. As compared to the previous year, this is a notable decrease in the proportions among respondents.

* In 2021, the number of respondents was 11,439. In 2022, there were 11,215 respondents. Respondents are from Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Portugal, Sweden or the UK.
