Obstacles to those aged 18 to 29 adopting a sustainable lifestyle Australia 2023
In a survey conducted in 2023 among Australian consumers regarding their attitudes towards sustainability, over 50 percent of respondents aged 18 to 29 years indicated that the main obstacle they faced when trying to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle was that sustainable products or services were more expensive. Around 30 percent of participants in this age category also said they find it too inconvenient and that adopting a sustainable lifestyle required too much effort.
